Christmas Markets open up all over Vienna these days. It’s only mid November, but the average Austrian is already in desperate need of their fair share of hot Glühwein (mulled wine) and Punsch (punch). Going to work has finally a meaning again for exhausted office workers. They are looking forward to all the get-togethers to warm up over a hot beverage in cold, wet Vienna.
If you are a cat lover, you have to visit Onomichi. The city is a scenic seaport located in the East of Hiroshima prefecture in Japan. Although the local hill in the middle of the town is known as a place of pilgrimage more than 30 Buddhist temples and shinto shrines, even more cats can be found in the alleys which climb up to its peak.

Now that the hot summer days are over, I was forced to make use of the the last few late summer days and go hiking in the Tscheppaschlucht Canyon. It is located in the Karawanks, a mountain range of the Southern Limestone Alps in Carinthia, near Austria’s border to Slovenia.

Before I did some research for my trip to Florida last year, I did not know that more than 6000 manatees are living there. As I am a big fan of those fake mermaids, I wanted to take up the opportunity to see them in their natural habitat with disturbing them as less as possible.
